Volkswagen’s upcoming compact SUV,the T-Cross may launch in India soon. It was caught undergoing winter testing recently in Finland. The T-Cross is part of 19 SUVs and crossovers which includes Skoda and Seat which will be introducing in various countries by 2020. Some of these SUVs can be major landfall in India and T-Cross could very well be a part of it.
Although, there is no planning on its arrival in India, but it could be launched here in 2019. It is expected that the T-Cross (based on the new sixth-gen Polo) will make it’s world premiere next year.
It would prabably takes its design inspiration like the geometric LED graphics in the tail lamps from the new Polo as well. T-Cross will be built on the smallest version of VW Group’s MQB (Modularer Quer Baukasten a.k.a Modular Transverse Matrix) platform very much like the earlier released – Polo (new Polo), Virtus (second-gen VW Vento), Seat Ibiza (premium hatchback) and Seat Arona (compact SUV).
If launched, the T-Cross will fend off the Hyundai Creta and Renault Captur as well.
