Maruti Suzuki will replace the current first-gen Ertiga with an all-new model which has debuted in market on November 21, 2018. The outgoing model has been on sale since April 2012 and received a mid-cycle update in October 2015. Maruti have confirmed that the first-gen model will completely discontinued once the new Ertiga hits the showrooms.
Maruti has sold around 4.2 lakh units of the first-gen Ertiga since its market launch back in April 2012. Since its launch, the first-gen Ertiga has available with 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engine options. Maruti added a 4-speed automatic option to the petrol-powered Ertiga a little later. The Ertiga has been a popular choice for mid-size budget MPV buyers in a segment that also includes models like the Honda BR-V, the Renault Lodgy and the recently launched Mahindra Marazzo.
Maruti will continue to sell the new Ertiga via the brand’s standard Arena dealerships .
